The comfy cottage is situated on the outskirts of the village of Phelan le Pettit, which is a 10 minutes drive from the picturesque medieval town of Dinan and a 20 – 30 min drive from the Northern Brittany Coast that has many a beautiful sandy beach.  It is one of two holiday homes within this old gendarmerie (Police station/barracks).  It is bright single story property with a large secure enclosed garden (great for children) with a patio area and a BBQ. 

           

The cottage has two spacious bedrooms (one double and one twin) and sleeps up to four people comfortably with space for a cot.  The property is comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a television, DVD player and a stereo.  The channels on the television are English speaking.  There is a shower room, separate toilet with washing machine.

 

The nearest village where there are shops including a supermarket, baker, butcher, chemist, bank, post office, hairdressers and restaurants/pubs is just a 5-minute walk away.  There is also a doctor’s surgery in the village where the doctor has good English.  Within the village surrounds, there are good walks, tennis courts, football grounds and an equestrian centre.

Location

The pretty medieval town of Dinan is famous for its cobbled streets, picturesque old buildings and a lovely old port by the river Rance.  This town also has a great market weekly and there are numerous large shopping centres for the shoppers.  The medieval town of Dinan is an old walled town and there are great walks along the wall and along the river Rance.  It is a very relaxed town with lost of lovely coffee docks where you can relax and watch the world going by. 

              

The neighbouring village (6km away), which is approximately 5 minute drive away, is Jugon le Lacs, which also is picturesque, has a large lake where there is fishing and other water sports available along with great walks with country scenery.  There is also a heated out door swimming pool with water slides and play area.

 Within a 20-30 minute drive are the beautiful unspoilt sandy beaches of north Brittany cost.  These are white sandy beaches where you can relax and soak up the sun or for those who prefer more activity there are water sports, fishing and lovely scenic coastal walks.
