This newly-renovated Breton cottage, surrounded by farm land, is set in the valley of the River Aulne, which is shared with the Nantes to Brest Canal.

The Cottage has an open-plan ground floor, with a dining area and fully equipped kitchen - dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, electric cooker and microwave. A dining table to seat six people plus a wooden high chair for baby. The living area has a traditional Breton fireplace with a woodburner, and a TV  for showing videos.

There is a double bedroom, with a bathroom and W.C., also on the ground floor.

On the first floor are two further bedrooms (one double, one twin-bedded also with a drop sided wooden baby cot) and a shower room with W.C. and wash basin. All rooms have views along the river valley.

Situated 50 meters from the Canal, on a private drive, and has access to a path leading to the river bank.  Outside is a garden with barbecue, and parking for two cars. Pets are welcome, however you will be required to keep dogs under full control, clean up after your pet and include your pets description on your booking form.

Location

Three miles from Châteauneuf-du-Faou, this rural area of central Finistère is still in touch with its Breton roots, with festivals of music and dancing taking place all summer.

Châteauneuf-du-Faou is one hour's drive south of the ferry port of Roscoff, and about 2½ hours from St. Malo. The town has supermarkets, banks, restaurants and a public swimming pool. Horse riding and boating are also available.

There are three coasts within an hour's drive, and the City of Quimper and the picturesque villages of Concarneau and Pont Aven are within easy reach by car.

The Nantes to Brest Canal winds its way through the surrounding area, and its wide tow-path lends itself to safe cycling and easy walking. Fishing and canoeing are also popular activities enjoyed in the local area.

There is no shortage of activities locally, with sports centres and swimming pools. Beautiful beaches are within half an hours drive, but if it is peace and tranquillity you are after, the setting is perfect for a stress free holiday.
